This is an update from the Kosko family on the Rats on Griswold Street message sent out last week.
Inspectional Services has been in the neighborhood each of the last 2 days & have left Orange Notification Panels at area houses.
The information contained is critical.
Several properties have evidence of infestation – tunnels/burrowing. We, for one, have initiated contact with an area exterminator – Cambridge Chemical Company (58 Dudley St. Cambridge, (617)876-4484 )
While the City can not “recommend” particular contractors, we understand that this one that has proven effective.
It appears that in order to successfully deal with the problem, extensive extermination will be needed up & down the street. Whether or not the Concord Ave. upheaval is responsible for the initial new spread of the rodents, they are our problem, primarily. Inspectional Services and/or DPW may be doing something with sewer & waste water drains, but can not attend to personal property.
