Join us for CCTV’s Backyard BBQ Fundraiser, September 16th!
Cambridge Community TV’s Backyard BBQ Fundraiser is just one month away, scheduled for Thursday, September 16th beginning at 5:30pm. This year’s theme is “On the Move.” As it very well may be CCTV’s last BBQ in Central Square, raising funds for our core programs — such as our youth media program — is more important than ever, as we prepare to relocate! Come out and help us celebrate our past 15 years in Central Square, while looking forward to exciting opportunities.
The BBQ will feature food from dozens of local restaurants, live music from the award-winning Afro-beat and Soul band Zili Misik, a silent auction featuring unique items for all tastes and budgets, and the presentation of the Leading Role Awards. This year’s awards will be presented to individuals who have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Cambridge youth: Michael Daniliuk of the Cambridge Police Department, Robert Hurlbut Jr., Executive Director of the Cambridge Community Foundation, and Khari Milner, Director of Complementary Learning Partnerships for the Cambridge Public Schools. All proceeds benefit CCTV’s after-school and summer youth media programs, teaching Cambridge teens media production and career skills.
