Charles River Conservancy Sunday Parkland Games

To the Cambridge Highlands Neighborhood Association,

I am writing to invite you to join the Charles River Conservancy at its second annual Sunday Parkland Games program. The Charles River Conservancy is a Cambridge-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the continued preservation of the Charles River Parklands–a beautiful and under-appreciated natural resource here in Boston–and our initiatives are designed to make the river and its parklands more active, attractive, and accessible to all residents of Boston, Cambridge, and the surrounding areas.

Our newest program is the Sunday Parkland Games, a twelve-week summer event happening every Sunday on the river’s banks in Cambridge. From 2 pm to 5 pm every Sunday through September 19th, the Conservancy will host an afternoon of free games for all ages, including badminton, volleyball, lawn toss, and tetherball, on the Charles River Parklands between the Weld Boathouse at JFK St. and the Weeks Footbridge at DeWolfe St. in Cambridge. Through September 5th, we are also hosting free yoga sessions from 5 pm to 6 pm on the banks of the river.

The program is a wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon at the Parklands for all ages, and is geared towards all ages and people of all capabilities. I encourage you to forward this information to anyone that you feel would enjoy a free afternoon of fun games on the banks of the Charles River. For more information, please visit our website at http://thecharles.org or email me, Sara Matasci, at sundaygames@thecharles.org.

Hope to see you there!
