On Friday, May 21 (weather permitting), the City’s contractor, C. J. Mabardy, will begin installation of a new water main on Concord Ave near Blanchard Rd and Griswold St. Crews will install the water main in sections, and will move down Concord Ave towards Fresh Pond Parkway until the water main is fully installed.
Project Schedule
- Installation of the first section of water main at the intersection of Blanchard Rd and Griswold St is expected to last 3-4 weeks.
- Work on the water main will continue throughout the summer.
- Work hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
What to Expect during Construction
- Traffic on Concord Ave will be impacted by construction; police details will be in place to assist neighbors.
- Pedestrian and vehicle access into properties will be maintained at all times, but may be restricted in certain ways.
- Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
- City services will continue uninterrupted.
