Cambridge HighlandsCity officials are working to reduce speeding on Highlands streets. Plans include improvements at the intersection of Griswold Street and Sunset Road, which could include curb extensions meant to slow traffic.
The city officials met with residents in July to discuss traffic-calming measures for the area, according to a memo from Beth Rubenstein, assistant city manager for community development.City officials are also considering short-term improvements, such as updating traffic signs, pavement markings and trimming trees and bushes, according to the memo.
The final design for the intersection would be presented to the neighborhood to review before the construction, which would likely take place next year, according to Rubenstein’s memo.
